Details:

  • Our goal is to create art, community, and connection together! We believe that art is for everyone and can be created by anyone. These meetings are meant to be approachable and accessible to all, regardless of previous experience in art making. Together we hope to move past worrying about whether or not our art is “good” or “bad” and focus on what we believe to be the most important aspects of creating art — community and connection. There are no assignments or requirements when it comes to the art you make at Bad Art Club. Our only request is that you create something during your time here.

  • A $5 donation is encouraged but not required for attendance. This donation is used to purchase shared supplies and goes towards general operating costs.

  • Some shared materials will be available for all to use. You are encouraged to bring your own supplies or preferred mediums. Keep in mind, some venues do not allow “wet” materials.

  • Everyone is an artist, and artists of all kinds are welcome! For example, musicians are encouraged to come play and bring their instruments. Don’t have a preferred medium? That’s okay! Just come have fun and create something silly with us!

  • Attendance for the entire meeting is not required. An ice breaker activity will typically take place at around 30 minutes after the meeting is scheduled to begin.

  • All participants are expected to follow the rules of venue. *Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
